December for Sikhs is a stark reminder of the sacrifices made by our Guru's and their families. While many of us will setup a Christmas Tree, and exchange presents, it is also imperative that we have dialogues with our children about Guru Gobind Singh Ji and His family.
We are lucky to be parenting in a time where information is easily accessible and exchangeable. We should avail of the media that is present around us to teach our kids about our history, our virsa. There are videos made about the chaar sahibzaade (Guru Gobind Singh Ji's 4 sons) via which you could introduce your kids to Guru Gobind Singh ji and his family. There are some scenes with violence (you can pre-watch and know when to forward!).
